American alternative rock outfit the Killers have teased their forthcoming single ‘Shot at the Night’ with a Morse code message on twitter.
Taking to the social media website, the Killers tweeted an image containing a message that was also uploaded onto the band’s Facebook page.
Wednesday’s tweet, seen below, simply translates from Morse code as “The Killers Shot At The Night”, the title of the group’s upcoming single.

The single will be collaboration between the band and Anthony Gonzalez of synth-pop group M83. Fans have been anticipating the announcement of a new album since Killers’ drummer Ronnie Vannucci stated that he would be interested in working on a full-album of new material and follow-up to the critically and commercially successful LP, Battle Born released in 2012.
Speaking to the Daily Star, Vannucci commented
“I hope there’s a new album soon. We’ve been working on stuff.”
“We were in the studio just the week before last.” He continued “I want to put out a new record now but it’s about getting us all on same page.”
With the band’s recent social media activity and their forthcoming collaboration with Anthony Gonzalez it will be interesting to see if the single will lead to a new album, so soon after last year’s Battle Born.
